Barbee Word

Barbee Word is from Chillicothe, Texas and is a graduate of Texas Tech University. He became a partner in 1968. Barbee recently began the transfer of his partnership interest, but continues to serve a broad range of clients in the electric, telecom, credit union, not- for-profit and income tax areas.

During his career, Barbee has been very instrumental in the firm’s development of the credit union and not-for-profit industries. He has prepared presentations for multiple groups, and is very involved in the firm’s research department, as well as on the forefront of directing the firm’s educational library materials.

Barbee and his wife, Gay, are longtime residents of Lubbock. Their three daughters and their families reside in New Mexico and Texas.
